In content moderation in the online environment, as a rule, platforms themselves are responsible for establishing, enforcing, and deciding when content violates their community guidelines. But how can other actors contribute to regulation in this scenario?
Our new study, “Online Content Moderation Governance: Perceptions on the Role of Actors and Regimes“, presents experts’ insights into the governance of online content moderation and the role of actors such as the government, representatives of civil society, and the academic community. These actors can assist in making the activity more transparent and aligned with the maintenance of human rights in the digital environment.
