Court decisions on due process in social media content moderation: how judges rule

The report analyzes 191 decisions from the Courts of Justice in five Brazilian states (AM, BA, GO, PR, and SP) to understand how the judiciary has been handling account suspensions and other forms of moderation by digital platforms. The data reveals both a growing awareness among judges regarding users’ rights and the urgent need for clearer rules to guide decisions and ensure greater legal certainty for all parties involved.
