Director of the Instituto de Referência em Internet e Sociedade (IRIS). She holds a Master’s degree in Science and Technology Policy from UNICAMP, where her dissertation examined the use of drones in military operations through the lens of Science and Technology Studies (STS), drawing on infrastructure studies to analyze the technical artifact and the broader system that enables its use as an instrument of conflict and violence. Her research interests include sociotechnical infrastructure studies, race and technology, and controversy mapping. She was part of the Observatory of Innovation, Citizenship and Technoscience (InCiTe-UFMG). At IRIS, she works across topics at the intersection of internet governance, including digital inclusion and meaningful connectivity, algorithmic governance, surveillance, data governance, technology regulation, and human rights online.
