All IRIS projects are carried out independently, according to research ethics parameters such as replicability, scientificity and those described in the IRIS statute. All results are published and available free of charge and do not require any intervention or, under any circumstances, prior approval from the funding institution.

The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) of the British Embassy funded the project “Meaningful Connectivity Among Vulnerable Communities in Brazil” (2022) and the project “Cadim de Dados: Democratizing Connectivity Actions” (2025–present).
