Digital Due Process

The field of Internet Governance has been explored in several sectors of the humanities and applied social sciences, in the task of understanding and reviewing local and transnational regulatory frameworks and how they meet digital democracy, jurisdiction and access to Justice on a global scale.

The Digital Due Process project investigates the potential of normative frameworks which are adequate and democratically developed for the fair governance of networks, through the adoption of standards, best practices and systemic and internationally shared objectives which are to be complied with by legislators and courts.

Principles such as global access to justice, digital due proccess, informational integrity, transparency and digital democracy become the basis for a new order for the Global Information Society. Equally, international politics, International Law and International Relations achieve a central role in the formatting of methodologies for the project, around the valuation of the empowerment and autonomy of users and civil society inside the wider context of multilevel governance.
