Since 2014, as GNET and in partnership with independent researcher Carolina Rossini, IRIS is responsible for the formulation of the Brazilian Freedom on the Net report, which seeks to measure the degree of freedom on the Internet all around the world.
Working on Freedom on the Net involves a lot of research on regulatory, political and social issues which help determining the degree of freedom on the Internet in a country. The research is done through newspaper articles, scientific articles, various reports, books and legislation in order to measure the freedom on the Internet in Brazil.
